Visit Orlando
Sure, Orlando is home of Disney World, but the city has it’s own vibe. Did you know that there are hundreds of great restaurants in Orlando? Orlando also has its share of nightclubs and bars.
The Orlando Travel and Visitor’s Bureau provides a generous amount of information for visiting Orlando. Hotels range from about $80 per night for a simple no-frills room, like a Best Western (depending on the season) to resorts with rooms that cost hundreds of dollars per night. The Point Orlando Resort has 700 square-foot one-bedroom executive suites for $129 per night. The suites have a full kitchen, washer, dryer, and free high speed Internet for this family package.
You can travel in Orlando for $1 using the I-Ride Trolley. This trolley travels to most of the theme parks and all of the Disney Resorts. If you are not into the theme park scene, you can ride the city bus. Use the trip planner to plan your bus ride!
Family Fun in Orlando
A new attraction in Orlando include Aquatica, a water theme park with water slides galore. The park also has a lagoon with brightly colored fish. You can get a full view of the fish by riding Loggerhead Lane, a raft ride that takes you on an underwater tunnel at a leisurely pace. Dolphins and macaws are some of the other animals you’ll encounter at this park.
Nightlife in Orlando
Go Downtown for nightlife in Orlando. Head to Church Street and go to Chillers, for music and frozen drinks, Big Belly Brewery for beer, Nickel Beer Night Every Wednesday and Latitudes which is a rooftop club. All of the clubs are in one building at 33 West Church Street.
Wall Street Plaza on Orange Avenue is another hotspot in Orlando. There are several bars and clubs to choose from. Go to the Monkey Bar for martinis, The Globe for sushi, and One Eyed Jacks is where you need to go for dancing.
Food in Orlando
Take a look at where the locals eat for awesome dining options on Orlando. The best Orlando Pizza, the best Orlando Greek food, the best Orlando Seafood, the best Orlando Barbecue, the best Orlando Spanish food and the Best Orlando African food, you’ll find whatever you are craving where the locals eat in Orlando.
