Ancient Egypt

Claudine Williams on August 3rd, 2008

Getting a glimpse of Ancient Egypt is definitely something that I would like to do in my life. Touring ancient Egypt is certainly a trip of a lifetime. I would love to see the pyramids although I am afraid of heights. Climbing up stairs to get to the pyramids makes me feel as though I am going to have an anxiety attack. I think, however, that it’s important to conquer fears, or at least temporarily overcome them so that you don’t miss out on life’s beauty. Fear does serve a purpose, however, it keeps us from doing stupid things. What are you afraid of? Has a fear ever kept you from traveling or participating in a travel activity like jet skiing, learning to scuba dive  or parachuting? What fear would you like to conquer?

  1. Fear has kept me from doing various travel activities…I have absolutely no desire to scuba dive, or sky dive. I probably could swallow the fear of water long enough to jet ski, though. :) I want to visit Egypt too, someday.

  2. Brings back great memories of being in Egypt some years back. Great video.

  3. You are so right. Fears blocked my ways. It must be a best experience to climb the pyramids. Hope to see Egypt. :)

  4. One thing I can say I learned from a guy I work with, if you get seriously hurt take a helicopter to England for any hospital treatment. Between AIDS and other serious diseases they have there you don’t want to let them work on you.
